Witnessing Addiction:
Through Darkness, Into Light
Heroin to Heroine Founder Kassie Sullins
Teach Myself Founder Will Carpenter
Kassie Sullins joins us to share the story of her journey through the darkness of drug addiction, and into a brighter life of sobriety, self-love, and service. “Bringing to light” the dark parts of our lives can be deeply empowering, and that’s exactly what we’ll do, by exploring our personal stories involving addiction. (No one is forced to share, you're welcome to only listen.)
Often times talking about your suffering can bring up heavy, difficult emotions, and that’s okay. It’s also okay to bring a sense of “lightness,” ease and calm acceptance to the dark times. Come as you are á †á † it’s all okay.
You will have a chance to share your story, if you'd like. There will be time for discussion and reflection, and you’ll leave this session feeling a little lighter, a little more connected, and a little more able to look upon your story (the dark and the light of it) with clear vision.
